    A: There is no minimum contract so you can cancel at any time. We will refund the unused portion of your payment. top


3. Q: My dial-up ISP gives me webspace, and there are many free web hosting services. Why should I pay for web hosting ?

8. Q: Do you support Microsoft FrontPage 98 / 2000 ?
    A: Yes, we fully support FrontPage 98 & 2000. You need extensions if you are going to upload your webpages to your website via FrontPage. To activate FrontPage extensions all you need to do is log into your control panel and click on FrontPage and install. The extensions are live right away. top


9. Q: I have just ordered, when can I expect my website to be live ?
    A: If you have ordered a transfer of an existing website, then you will receive your welcome email which includes directions to complete the transfer, normally within 24 hours. If you have ordered a new website, you will still receive your welcome email within 24 hours, however, your new domain name has to be registered with the worlds computers and this takes between 2-4 days. You can still work on your website in the time being as we provide a temporary link until your domain name goes live. top


10. Q: You run UNIX servers - but I have a Windows computer - does this matter ?
      A: No, not at all. It does not matter what make or model your computer is or what software you run. Our servers and webspace work with every type of computer and software without a problem. top


11. Q: Are your servers reliable ?

12. Q: How do I access my control panel ?

13. Q: What domain names can I transfer to you ?
      A: We can host any domain name in the world and you can transfer any domain name to us free of charge by asking your current provider to change your nameservers to our nameservers. top


14. Q: If I don't already have a registered domain name for my website, how can I get one ?
      A: TC Web Hosting does not register domain names. We recomend using www.godaddy.com to register domain names ($8.95/yr), but there are many other companies available. 15. Q: I already have a domain name, how do I host with you ?
      A: To transfer the use of your domain name to us, contact your domain name provider and ask them to change the nameservers to our nameservers. This will complete the transfer of the use of your domain name to us. You will continue to be billed for all future renewals of your domain name by your original domain name provider. top


16. Q: I wish to sell products from my website. Do you offer any e-commerce systems ?
      A: We do not ourselves offer e-commerce solutions. However, we highly recommend 2checkout.com which handles our payment systems. Other good e-commerce providers are: PayPal or ccnow. Our systems are compitable with virtually all e-commerce solutions. top

17. Q: What credit / debit cards to you accept ?
      A: We currently accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover cards. top


18. Q: Is it safe to put my credit / debit card information on your website ?
      A: Yes it is. Our online ordering forms are on 128 bit encrypted webpages, which means that no one can see your information apart from 2checkout.com (our payment processor). top


19. Q: I don't have a credit / debit card. Can I use my friends card ?
      A: If your friend does not mind you using their credit / debit card then we have no problem with this. However, your friend must be present and enter his / her credit / debit card information themselves. top


20. Q: I am thinking of paying yearly to get the discount. What happens if I want to cancel say in 6 months. Would I get a refund ?
      A: Yes you would. We would refund the payment amount not used. When we calculate the yearly fee we consider the last month free. So if you paid for one year and canceled after 6 months you would have 5 months payment refunded.top

21. Q: Will I have telnet access to my account ?
      A: No, we do not offer unsecure telnet access, but we do offer secure SSH which is almost exactly like telnet. top


22. Q: Do you support ASP ?
      A: Due to the security issues surrounding other server platforms, we only use high performance UNIX servers which do not support ASP. However, UNIX does support PHP and MySQL which most web designers consider more stable than ASP. top


23. Q:What server hardware do you use ?
      A: We use industrial strength web server equipment for performance and reliability including Intel Pentium and Sun Sparc based systems. Some servers have dual processors, dual 100Mbit Ethernet adapters, 1 gigabyte of memory and a server grade mainboard and chipset. top


24. Q: What operating system do you use ?
      A: We run UNIX based servers for maximum flexibility. top


25. Q: I am a website designer, can I order your services and then charge my clients extra and keep the difference ?
      A: There is no problem with this at all. In fact, many web designers do this for their clients. You are totally free to charge them whatever you like. top
